Colours & Sizes

We make every effort to display the colours of glass art and jewellery presented on this site as accurately as possible. However, due to limitations in technology we cannot guarantee the true colours being displayed on monitors, screens, mobile devices and printers.

Each of our pieces is hand made using the highest quality Bullseye art glass. Due to the nature of being hand made there will be a degree of variation in colour, size and form of each individual piece. Sizes shown on the site are approximate.

Air Bubbles & Holes In Kiln Formed Glass

The small air bubbles within the glass are typical of a kiln-forming process. There are always a number of small air bubbles (called champagne bubbles) in hand-rolled sheet art glass which is basic raw material used in kiln-forming. A number of further small bubbles may get trapped during the process of fusing. In some cases, smaller and bigger bubbles are part of the design and are intentionally promoted.

In some pieces when the edge was cut, ground and polished it will have some small pin-sized and slightly bigger holes which are unavoidable remainders of little bubbles within the glass. This is not a fault but an intrinsic part of a hand-made, kiln-formed glass art.

Delivery & Lead Times

We use 1st class signed for service with Royal Mail or a specialized courier as appropriate. The parcel will have to be signed for.

Dispatching one-off pieces:

An item marked as a “one-off” piece on our website is the only one of its type, there won’t be any other exactly the same and it is ready for sale. We will normally dispatch one-off pieces within a maximum of 3 days. We will take all reasonable steps to dispatch the goods on the same day (Tuesday to Friday) but do not guarantee to do so. It may depend on the day and time your order was placed.

Dispatching limited edition pieces

While we try to have some limited edition pieces in stock they usually are made especially for you and will take 2-3 weeks to create. Therefore, delivery depends on stock availability as well as the day and time your order was placed.

In high demand seasons e.g. before Christmas the lead time might be longer. Please order in advance to ensure delivery for a specific date.

If the goods are not delivered within the delivery time quoted, please contact us by email.

Our glass can be cleaned with a soft cloth, glass cleaner or a damp cloth with a mild detergent and rinsed well. The glass must be dried thoroughly to remove water. Do not allow droplets of water to remain on the glass to evaporate. This will leave marks on the surface. Do not put hand-made glass in a dish washer  or use chemicals to clean it. Do not pour hot water onto any hand-made glass or immerse it in hot water as this is likely to cause thermal shock and break the piece.
